Reimagine Your Engine — Rebuild. Reuse. Reimagine.

I’m not writing your certification/PHA, stamping your drawings, or performing your inspection. I’m solving your problems. The HOW is what I care about.

I don’t assume you have to disassemble the entire engine in order to fix an oil consumption problem. I find the root cause and work from there.

I don’t believe you can replace one pump in the system without affecting the rest of the hydraulic circuit. I reimagine the system with the new component.

What Derek works on

Rotating equipment, fluid systems, and process safety

01

Mechanical Systems

Rotating and reciprocating machinery — engines, pumps, compressors, blowers — from root cause to rebuild.

02

Electrical & Controls

Power, controls, and instrumentation that keep machines protected and observable.

03

Systems Integration

How the pieces interact — process, machine, controls, and the people running them.

04

PHA Recommendation Follow-through

Practical help turning existing PHA recommendations into equipment and maintenance work.

Problems I solve

Do you have process equipment that has failed, is failing, or is about to fail?

  1. 01

    Pump won't move water?

Check the operating conditions, flow path, and measurements before deciding what needs replacing.

  2. 02

    Compressor overheating?

Look at the duty, cooling, lubrication, and gas conditions together — not just the temperature trip.

  3. 03

    Blower experiencing excessive vibration?

Use vibration and operating data to investigate the mechanism, then check the proposed correction.

  4. 04

    Engine suffering from pre-ignition?

Review combustion conditions and operating history. Document the findings and the reasoning behind any changes.
